Goals of Module 2 of the course:
- Acquire simple behaviour data and run the analysis to monitor kinematics of the tail angle for single animals and groups
- Investigate methods for recording specific aspects of behaviour
- a. Recording swimming dynamics in head-restrained and freely swimming fish, with presentation of visual stimuli in open and closed loop
- b. Postural control on head-embedded and freely-swimming larvae
- c. Collective dynamics at the larval and juvenile stages
- d. Social preference assays for juvenile fish
- e. Vocalization/schooling
